Discover The Right Program for Your Student
Every child deserves the chance to explore their talents and discover what brings them joy. Through The Kalei Foundation scholarships, families can access inclusive programs that support creativity, movement, and confidence.
Music Therapy
Music Therapy is a research-supported therapeutic approach that uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs in music therapy sessions, with a credentialed therapist who guides participants through musical activities such as singing, playing instruments, rhythmic movement, and listening exercises to help develop communication skills, emotional expression, and motor coordination.
Music offers a powerful way for children to express themselves, particularly for those who may experience difficulty with traditional forms of communication. Because music activates multiple areas of the brain, it can support improvements in speech development, attention, and memory while providing an enjoyable and engaging environment.
BENEFITS CAN INCLUDE:
-
Improved Speech and Communication Skills
-
Increased Social Interaction and Cooperation
-
Emotional Regulation and Stress Reduction
-
Enhanced Motor Coordination and Rhythm
-
Increased Confidence and Self-Expression
Music Therapy can be offered in individual or group settings and is commonly used in schools, therapy clinics, community programs, and healthcare environments.

Dance & Movement Therapy
Integrative Dance/Movement Therapy combines physical movement with emotional and cognitive development. This therapeutic approach recognizes movement as a form of communication and uses structured dance activities to support emotional expression, body awareness, and social connection.
Children participating in dance or movement therapy engage in guided activities that may include rhythm exercises, creative movement, balance work, and group choreography. These activities help strengthen coordination, improve physical fitness, and encourage self-expression through movement.
BENEFITS OF INTEGRATIVE DANCE/MOVEMENT THERAPY
-
Improved Balance, Coordination, and Flexibility
-
Increased Body Awareness and Sensory Integration
-
Emotional Expression Through Movement
-
Strengthened Confidence and Self-Esteem
-
Improved Social Integration Through Group Participation
Movement Therapy programs provide a supportive environment where children can explore creatively while developing important physical and emotional skills.
Art Therapy
Art Therapy combines creative expression with therapeutic guidance to support emotional well-being, cognitive development, and communication. Through activities such as dancing, painting, sculpting, and mixed-media projects, children can express ideas and emotions that may be difficult to communicate verbally.
Art Therapy programs are particularly beneficial for children who experience developmental or communication challenges. The creative process allows participants to explore feelings, develop problem-solving skills, and build confidence through artistic achievement.
BENEFITS OF ART THERAPY INCLUDE:
-
Improved Communication and Emotional Expression
-
Development of Fine Motor Skills and Hand-Eye Coordination
-
Increased Focus, Planning, and Problem-Solving Abilities.
