Kamilah Terrell

Kamilah Averyhart Terrell is the founder and president of The Kalei Foundation. Her daughter, Kalei was born weighing 1 pound, 6 ounces and had a 20% chance of survival. God blessed Kalei with 14 years of life. During those years, Kamilah made it her mission to not only ensure that Kalei got the best medical services she needed, but also exposed her to activities that many special needs children are excluded from.

She made as many wonderful memories and adventures as possible during Kalei’s lifetime. In honor of Kalei’s beautiful life, Kamilah decided to create this foundation to expose other special needs youth to the activities that gave Kalei joy.
